The ideal pH value when using chlorine and chlorine-free water disinfection is 6.8-7.2. If the pH leaves this defined area, there is a decrease in effectiveness and an increase in disinfectant consumption. Thus, to avoid problems with constant fluctuations in water pH, it is necessary to stabilize the alkalinity of the water. The optimum value of total alkalinity is 80-120 mg/l (ppm), which affects the effectiveness of disinfection, the pH adjustment of the water and the formation of precipitates of various components from the water. If the totalalkalinity is too high, usually the pH of the water is also high. If the totalalkalinity is too low the pH is not stable and has large fluctuations.

0.7 mmol/l = approx. 70 ppm = approx. 70 mg/l

Dosage: 24 g of the product will increase the alkalinity in 1 m³ of water by (0.35 mmol/l = 35 ppm). Apply a measured dose of the product directly along the wall of the pool or whirlpool. Check the alkalinity and ph values continuously with a tester. In general, hard water requires a higher dose and soft water a lower dose.
